Course Description

In NSW, it is a mandatory requirement to hold CPCCBC4051A Supervise asbestos removal if you are a supervisor of Class B (non-friable) asbestos removal. This course is designed to train suitable Participants in instructing and monitoring workers on a jobsite to ensure that they are correctly handling, removing and disposing asbestos containing materials correctly.

Topics covered include:

  • Plan for asbestos removal
  • Prepare site for removal
  • Oversee the removal and decontamination process
  • Supervise and support team members
  • Supervise testing, compliance and documentation in consultation with the licensed asbestos assessor and the licensed asbestos removalist

This course is suitable for Site supervisors, site foremen, asbestos removalists seeking further licensing

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded with Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCCBC4051A - Supervise asbestos removal

Delivery & Assessment

This course is delivered & assessed face to face in a classroom through written assessments, practical assessments & observation activities

Entry Requirements

Prior to commencing this training program participants must:

  • Hold a statement of attainment for CPCCDE3014A - Remove non-friable asbestos OR CPCCDE3015A - Remove friable asbestos
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry
  • Be proficient in spoken and written English, as the assessments must be undertaken in English
  • Provide 100 points of original identification

  • Members: $399.00 per person - GST exempt
  • Non-Members: $499.00 per person - GST exempt
