Course Description

This course is designed to help you learn how to identify and dispose correctly of asbestos and asbestos-containing material is a safe and correct way, to ensure the safety of both you and the people around you are protected. Topics covered include:

  • Plan for asbestos removal
  • Prepare asbestos removal area and removal site
  • Isolate removal site
  • Carry out asbestos removal process
  • Carry out decontamination process
  • Clean-up work site
  • Contribute to and documentation in line with regulatory requirements

This course is suitable for anyone working in the building, construction, civil construction and demolition sectors who may be required to remove non friable (bonded) asbestos either in structures or soils.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded with Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCCDE3014A - Remove non-friable asbestos

Delivery & Assessment

This course is delivered & assessed face to face in a classroom through written assessments, practical assessments & observation activities

Entry Requirements

There are no educational entry requirements for this course however participants must:

  • Complete the Asbestos Awareness online course prior to course commencement. (This course is included in the price for the Remove Non Friable Asbestos cost)
  • Be over 18 years of age
  • Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry
  • Be proficient in spoken and written English, as the assessments must be undertaken in English
  • Provide 100 points of original identification

The fee for this one day course is:

  • Members: $349.00 per person - GST exempt
  • Non-Members: $435.00 per person - GST exempt
